How Tech is Disrupting Education in Order to Save It

Wednesday, February 15 from 7:30 - 8:30 pm

As 2012 continues to be the year of ed-tech advancement, Silicon Alley has been leading the way with dynamic startups like SkillShare, General Assembly, Unigo, and Tutorspree. Founders of each are meeting to discuss how technology is transforming the future of education, in what’s sure to be an eye-opening, interactive panel. Discussion will focus on the democratization and globalization of education through technology and breaking down barriers of physical separation. Opening up education to the web has the power to correct the inefficiencies of a failing system, making learning about anything from knitting to college admissions, available to everyone.

Speakers include VentureBeat's Ben Popper, TutorSpree's Aaron Harris, SkillShare's Michael Karnjanaprakorn, General Assembly's Brad Hargreaves, and Unigo.com's Jordan Goldman.
